4 specially abled men from Thissur on a bike ride to meet PM Modi

A team of four men —all hearing and speech impaired — had started on a special mission for the rights of the specially abled. Jubin V Parameshwaran, Ali KV, Ashraf and Mubeen started on a bike ride from Thrissur on December 15, and plan to meet the Prime Minister in Delhi.

The four arrived in Borivali on Tuesday and were welcomed by Borivli Malayali Samajam General Secretary Rakhee Sunil and other members.

The riders wish to see the around 45 lakh similar citizens in India to get their rights and proper facilities. So they decided to appeal before Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address their problems.

The team started their journey on two Royal Enfields from Thrissur in Kerala for New Delhi. They plan to meet people from different walks of life en route and spread awareness regarding the problems faced by all hearing and speech impaired people.

They were felicitated and offered financial help by the Borivli Malayali Samajam, Bombay Keraleeya Samithi-Malad, AlMA Maharashtra, Goodwin Group, Samskarika Vedi, Jogeshwari Malayali Samajam and Borivali Ayyappa Temple.

President AKG Nair, secretary Rakhee Sunil , Anup Chalkaran, Shashi Kartha from Borivli Malayali Samajam, advocate Padma Divakaran, president of Bombay Keraleeya Samajam Malad and vice-president of AIMA Maharashtra, and others felicitated the riders.
