22,273 get admission as second spl FYJC merit list is declared

The number of students who got the admission according to their first preference is 9,910; 3,162 got admission as per their second preference and 2,008 as per their third.

The second special First Year Junior College (FYJC) merit list was declared on Tuesday.

With 62,754 seats up for grabs in colleges, so far, 25,723 students have applied for the same by way of online admission. Out of these, 22,273 students were allocated seats.

The number of students who got the admission according to their first preference is 9,910; 3,162 got admission as per their second preference and 2,008 as per their third.

In arts stream, 1,440 got admission in the second special merit list; in science, 6,452 students got seats, and in commerce, 14,381 students got admission.

Earlier, students whose names would come in the second special merit list were told to secure their admission in the allotted colleges on August 24 and 25. However, the education department made slight changes in the dates after the Maharashtra government declared a holiday on August 25 for Janmashtami.

Now, the online portal to confirm or cancel admissions for students and colleges will be open on August 24 and 26 between 10am and 5pm.
