Now, after the new online process round, special merit list will be declared on August 11. Students whose name appear in first special merit list can take admission on August 12 and 13.
As many as 11,830 students got admission to FYJC colleges during the fifth round of admission process that ended on Friday. These were the students who failed to confirm their admission for various reasons like not paying a fee of Rs50 or the college in which they were allotted the seat was far for their house, among others.
Now, there will be a special round of online process that will start from August 9 for those students who wish to change their colleges. According to the officials from the online admission committee, the new online admission process will end on August 10 at 11.58pm. The seats will be allotted depending upon the number of vacant seats and the merit list.
Recently, the deputy director of school education office declared that more 70,000 students have not yet reported about their admission on the online portal after the fourth merit list. Following complaints from parents across the city, education minister Vinod Tawde announced during the monsoon session that all students will get a seat through two additional rounds.

BB Chauhan, deputy director of school education, said: "Students who were unhappy with the colleges they were allotted for being far will get an option in special merit list. They will have to again participate in the online procedure which will start from August 9 to August 10. But they will get the seats as per the seats available and merit."
