11-year-old girl molested in Nagpada, 2 held

The Nagpada police on Saturday arrested an 18-year-old college student for allegedly molesting an 11-year-old girl, from his neighbourhood. The accused along with his accomplice — a minor, dragged the girl to a public urinal and molested her.

The accused has been identified as Faisal Aziz Sheikh and on December 4, Faisal’s accomplice was also caught — a 17-year-old boy.   

According to the police, complainant is the 40-year-old mother of the victim. On November 27, when she was returning home from tuition, the two boys gagged her and molested her.  “After committing the act, the boys fled the spot, leaving the girl behind. A woman saw the girl crying and since she knew her, she took her home.  The minor narrated the incident to her mother,” said a police officer.

“Faisal was arrested under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
