1 held for robbing couple in Bandra

The Khar police have arrested a 21-year-old man who, along with his three friends, allegedly robbed a couple at Carter Road in Bandra (West). The incident took place on Monday, when the victim and his woman friend were seated on the rocks.

The police said Amar Singh, 31, and his friend went to Carter Road in Bandra on Monday evening and were sitting on the rocks by the sea when the suspects came suddenly and threatened the couple. The four allegedly took away their mobile phones, Rs2,500 in cash and the woman's gold chain.

"The woman raised an alarm and people sitting nearby gathered. Soon, the policemen, who were patrolling, managed to nab one of the suspects, Sumeet Yadav, with the help of a passer-by," said an officer.
"We have got details of the others and will nab them soon" said senior inspector Vikas Sonawane.
