Play dates for children are making waves at Surfset Fitness

Make a splash!

With summer around the corner and parents trying to find newer ways to keep their children busy, Surfset seems to be the right choice with their innovative summer camp. Children get bored easily as they tend to have a lower attention span. Keeping this in mind, Surfset Fitness has designed their classes such that children from different age groups can be kept engaged while having a lot of fun.

More than just fun

Six-year-old Arjun Nair, a resident of Juhu, has been looking forward to the kids’ class, ever since his summer vacation started. “I like to play games and win points for my team,” he quips. Apart from the fun factor, the class has helped him come out of his shell as he actively participates in all the tasks. The class is designed to suit the temperament of children, with the Surfset team coming up with innovative ideas to motivate children to participate in all the activities. And the best part—they do not even realise that they have exercised their body parts.

Andheri resident Prerna Sinha says, “The kids’ class seems like a lot of fun and my four-year-old son is making the most of it.” The class has helped her son work on his physical balance; it has also helped him improve his memory building ability.

Exploration is key

According to Kajal Tejsinghani, Executive Director, Surfset India, “It is so rewarding to see children having so much fun and making the most of their summer vacation. We try to structure the class in such a way that it keeps them engaged and they don’t feel conformity.” Getting children motivated becomes easier when they are given a free hand to explore and that’s how they bloom to become more positive and confident individuals.

Nowadays, children are completely consumed with gadgets and hardly play outdoors. It is, therefore, essential to encourage them to play outside of their homes. “We want to provide them with a safe and comfortable environment where their play dates are filled with a lot of fun workouts, interactive games and team building activities, where their social and interpersonal skills can be developed. Our team is competent and well equipped with professional trainers and they are quite popular with the children,” claims Tejsinghani.

Juhu resident Vaishali Nair’s five-year-old son can’t seem to get enough of this class, which he plans to continue until the end of his summer vacation. “The new concept is a welcome change compared to the run-of-the-mill activities and I was keen to enroll my son in it. It has helped improve his stamina and has enhanced his sharpness and reflexes,” concludes Nair.
