Where there is Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, you can expect a lot of cheer and good food. That’s exactly what the launch of his Oriental restaurant Hong Kong, at the Viviana Mall, Thane, had in good measure. 
Hong Kong restaurant serves Oriental food from all over Asia, just like the city it was named after. The day of the launch also saw Kapoor giving a live demonstration—he cooked up a noodle dish, an activity thoroughly enjoyed by members of the media as well as the guests. Amongst the celebrities that attended this event was singer Hariharan accompanied by his wife Latha, celebrity chef Ranveer Brar, statuesque model Ujwala Raut and many others. 
Hong Kong’s menu bears the stamp of Kapoor’s culinary excellence and features his signature dishes like Broccoli with Tofu Dimsum (tofu mixed with broccoli and sweet basil), Har Gua Dimsum (prawn dimsum), Hong Kong style Grills, Gai Yang (boneless chicken skewered with Thai herbs), Crunchy Nuts on Crackling Spinach (crunchy cashewnuts tossed in sweet chilli and served over traditional crackling spinach), Crisp Lamb (lamb tossed in sweet and spicy sauce), Vegetable Mopu Tofu (tofu with freshly chopped vegetables in red sauce) and more. 
Adjacent to Hong Kong is Kapoor’s Indian restaurant, The Yellow Chilli. It serves some of Kapoor’s signature dishes, including the very first dish he made on his iconic TV show Khana Khazana, several years ago. 
Happy Lee is the mascot of Hong Kong and sure enough he was at the entrance, posing for selfies with enthused guests. All in all, it was a happy launch!
