Italian cuisine is probably the most popular cuisine in the world—truth be told, it is an amalgamation of various regional Italian cuisines. This sunny season, The Westin Mumbai Garden City is all set to celebrate the charm of Tuscan gastronomy through its simplicity, characterised by pure, strong flavours and fresh ingredients.  
Celebrating the original tastes of Toscana, guests can experience food innovation and artistry come alive at the fun dining Italian venue Prego from May 29 to June 15, 2015. The Tuscany region prominent for its scenic beauty, architecture, culture and cuisine is located in central Italy along the Tyrrhenian coast. It is home to some of the most notable wines from across the world. 
Executive Chef Rahul Dhavale and his team of talented chefs have crafted an exquisite menu that will feature Tuscan favourites—farm fresh local produce, truffles, seafood, meat, soup, cheese, steaks, ethnic pastas and wine inclusions. 
The hand-picked delicacies in the menu offer a bouquet of traditional Antipastis and an assortment of mains like Tuscan summer bread salad Panzanella, pre-cooked bread-thickened vegetable soup Ribollita, handmade pasta ribbons with chicken liver, sage and butter Pappardelle, ethnic pasta Pici and Pasta Rustica, Ricotta and spinach dumplings with truffles Gnudi Di Ricotta E Spinaci Al Tartufo, Sea bass fillet poached in light stock and mixed vegetable Branzino all’acqua cotta, Rosemary and salt baked rib-eye steaks and much more. The feast will end with home-made Limoncello and Gelatos and mouth-watering desserts such as White Chocolate and Coffee Parfait with Espresso Sauce and Hazelnut Meringue and Florentine Cake, Balsamic Strawberries Salad with Dark Chocolate Ice Cream and Poached Pears and notable Tuscan Rice Cakes, Massa Carrara.
In addition to the Tuscan food festival, you can also partake in a soul-satisfying culinary experience at the dna Masterclass, powered by Panasonic. “With the upcoming food festival, The Tuscan Trail at Prego, The Westin Mumbai Garden City, we are all set to showcase the Italian idea of buon cibo, meaning ‘good food’,” said Dhavale, “Tuscan food is famed for its simplicity and peasant-styled delicacies that use locally-sourced ingredients and wholesome flavours. The dna Masterclass to be held on May 31 at Westin, is dedicated to mastering and curating authentic Tuscan delights effortlessly in your own kitchen at home.”
