Shiv Sena supports Ghar Wapsi but not moral policing: Harshal Pradhan

Q: Your opponents say Aditya Thackeray's tweet (asking the media to "take only views of officially named spokespersons of the party") is aimed at Sanjay Raut and other leaders who have taken a stand on certain issues without seeking permission from the party.
A: Aditya's tweet is not aimed at Raut, who is a senior leader and is free to speak to the media. This is mainly for the others who offer their opinions to the media or stage agitations without the party's approval. To the public that gives a wrong impression about the party's official stand. That is why Aditya has asked the media to speak to spokespersons for official comment. You should not read too much into it.

Q: Why didn't he simply issue an order to party members rather than seeking to give directions to the media?
A: There is no need to issue a diktat to the cadre. The media must know whom to speak with. The Shiv Sena has over 10 lakh party members and there must be over 50 lakh journalists who pursue their own interests, for which they approach anyone from the party. With Aditya's tweet and your news, we are sure our message will reach all our party workers and leaders.

Q: Has the party taken action against Anil Singh for his statements about Ghar Wapsi or Naresh Pakhle for his agitation against young couples in Ulhasnagar?
A: We have sought information from the local Sena units of their respective areas, and Uddhavji would take appropriate action based on that information.

Q: Does the party support moral policing in the name of Indian culture and obscenity as it had been doing in the past?
A: No. We don't.

Q: Does the Sena support Ghar Wapsi (reconversion)?
A: The party's ideology is based on Hindutva. Of course, we support Ghar Wapsi.
