Government of Maharashtra fully endorses dna's anti-spitting campaign

The anti-spitting campaign by DNA would be a step towards creating a healthy society since indiscriminate spitting leads to spread of infectious diseases, and that is the reason we, as the Government of Maharashtra, fully endorse and support this campaign.

I don't chew tobacco or smoke so there is no question of me contributing to this menace as an individual. But every citizen must keep in mind that s/he should have at least this much control on mouth. If one think twice before spitting, it would not only contribute towards improving public health, but also result in reducing government expenditure on sanitation and cleanliness. As it is we are running the Clean India or Swachh Bharat campaign and every individual can contribute by acting against spitting.

Apart from endorsing this anti-spitting campaign, I would like to appeal, through dna, to every citizen in the state not to spit in public places. I would also like to stress the need to take this campaign effectively to every citizen of the state.
