For a better tomorrow

Taking my 2014 resolution of being pro-active further, I would like to talk about something that has slowly but sadly and surely crept into our daily urban lives–violence. The issue of safety is not personal any more; it is an issue we need to deal with together, as a society. How Safe Is Your City (http://www.dnaindia.com/HSIYC) is an initiative to make our cities safer–not only for women, but also for children, the homeless, senior citizens and more importantly for our family, friends and neighbours. The aim of this initiative is to give voice to your fears and opinions. We aim to take this campaign beyond news, opinions, slogans and candle light vigils. We intend to start a discussion that delves deeper. Share with us your stories, sign our petition, and demand for a safer city. Break the silence!

Local news, big and small is important for us. Do log on to www.iamin.in to share issues and concerns that have been plaguing you. You will soon see them being attended to if they are addressed to the right channels.
