10 things I love about my neighbourhood: Kunal Kamra

1. I love Shivaji Park since it's the central part of Mumbai. My building is situated right beside the main road of Shivaji Park. Returning late from a gig at Pune, I get the privilege of being dropped first. The rest of the comedians staying in South Mumbai or Bandra and beyond have to still travel while I'm already in bed.

2. On Mondays, everyone gets serious about work so no one goes out at night but I love to see people enjoying themselves on the streets on their way to the Siddhivinayak temple.

3. Shivaji Park is probably one of the few areas in Mumbai where new and ugly buildings and commercial complexes haven't come up to hijack the area's beauty and serenity.

4 .I am not really a townie, neither am I from the suburbs, so I save time by not entering the Town vs. Suburb debate.

5. It is amazing for a cricket fan to stay at Shivaji Park. Whenever India wins against Pakistan, the celebration always begins here.

7. Shivaji Park is blessed with Piyush Pandey, the creative genius, who will always say hello or have a conversation with you regardless of whether he knows you or not.

8. No traffic, thanks to the Bandra–Worli Sea Link.

9. Rich people here live like the middle class; they don't flood the streets with cars they don't use or need.

10. The Shivaji Park beach is clean and pristine. It is not visited by a lot of people and is a two-minute walk away from where I stay.
