The passenger bus was travelling from Goa to Mumbai when the accident took place near Khed.

  • The driver of the bus, identified as Sambhaji Kirvat lost control of the vehicle and went on to break the safety grills of the bridge, resulting in the bus falling off the bridge, close to the river.
