Zabiuddin Ansari alias Abu Jundal’s advocate Ejaz Naqvi has submitted an application to the sessions court to shift the terrorist from solitary confinement.
Jundal is the alleged mastermind behind the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.

In the application, Naqvi has requested the sessions court to move his client out of solitary confinement as it is affecting his mental stability. “Jundal is currently lodged in barrack with 12 cells. However, only one, in which Jundal is lodged, is occupied. The other 11 barracks are empty,” Naqvi said.

Naqvi added that the Arthur Road jail authorities reply stated that Jundal has to be kept in a highly guarded barrack as his life is under threat. “We have also requested the court to shift Jundal to the and a barrack so that he at least has inmates,” Naqvi added.

The matter is scheduled for hearing on March 18. Jundal’s psychological report is likely to be submitted in the court.
