As more than 5,000 teachers associated with University of Mumbai and its colleges have boycotted exam work since February 5, the biggest question in front of University is to conduct TYBCom exam from March28.
In a board of exam meetings on Friday, varsity has given a free hand to Principals of the colleges to arrange people for supervision work if teachers don’t call of their boycott till then. Naresh Chandra, pro VC of varsity says, “We can’t defer the exams only because teachers have boycotted.
Thus, we have asked Principals to arrange junior college teachers, citizens, alumni or research scholars for this work.” 80,000 students are appearing in TYBCom exam this year. Varsity is also trying its best to conduct TYBSc practical exams. On Friday, 65 out of 107 centres conducted the exam.
