Cylinder blast in Mumbai injures 12

According to disaster cell of BMC, the incident occured around 7:15 pm at the Islam Compound on MG Road in Kandivali.

Twelve people were injured when a gas cylinder filled with helium exploded in a scrap shop at Kandivali west on Thursday evening.

The injured, mainly children from the vicinity who were playing near the scrap shop and local residents from the nearby area were rushed to Bhagwati Hospital, Chauhan Hospital and Shivam Hospital.

Police said that a scrap shop dealer was checking if an LPG cylinder was empty before storing it in his shop when the cylinder caught a spark and eventually led to spark.
