The autopsy report of a 25-year-old woman’s body, which was found at Virar phata in a naked state, has revealed that she was not raped before being murdered.

DNA had reported on January 4 that police officials have not ruled out the possibility of rape.

However, the report released from JJ Hospital denied that she was raped. The police are yet to identify the woman who was brutally murdered and then thrown out of a vehicle.

“The woman was first tortured and then murdered. She had severe head injuries and her throat was slashed with a pointed weapon. She was thrown out from a vehicle after the attackers stripped off her clothes,” said Chandrakant Jadhav, senior inspector of Virar police station.

He added that they didn’t find any clues in the surrounding areas and haven’t received the post-mortem report yet.

“We have alerted all police stations in Mumbai as we suspect that she was from the city. We have not found a missing complaint which matches the description of the deceased so far,” said Deepak Devraj, deputy superintendent of police.

He added that the murderers might have stripped her clothes to destroy evidence. “We are sure that the identity of the victim will soon be established,” he said.
