Forensic experts today confirmed the use of RDX explosive in the February 13 terror attack on German bakery here.
"It was a mixture of RDX, Ammonium nitrate and Petroleum hydrocarbon oil that set off the blast," police commissioner
Satyapal Singh told reporters here.
On the quantity of RDX used in the device and whether the blast was triggered with a timer or a remote control, he said, it was still being investigated.
"Ball bearings and nut bolts too were used in the blast," he added.
He said the combination of explosives confirmed in the forensic analysis have earlier been also used in terror attacks in India.
On the reports of Pune police detaining two suspects having links with Indian Mujahideen late last night, the police commissioner refused to comment saying "I am neither confirming or denying."
Asked whether IM was behind the Pune blast, Singh said, "When we book the guilty only then we will be in a position to identify the group involved in the attack."
He refused to give details of the raids carried out by investigating teams since the February 13 attack, which ripped apart a German bakery-cum-cafe in the city injuring more than 57 persons.
