V Guard Group of companies, based in Cochin in Kerala, is negotiating with property owners in Mumbai and Chennai for starting amusement parks.
The group, which is running Veegaland in Cochin and Wonderla near Bangalore, has identified a place near Chennai to start a watertheme and amusement park, but negotiations were still on, Arun K Chittilappily, managing director, Wonderla Holidays, told reporters here today.
Similarly the company is negotiating with the owners of land near Mumbai to start another park, Arun said.
On investment,he said Bangalore park was set up with a total investment of rs.105 crore, some three years ago, he said
Asked about the preference of the public to come to such parks, particularly in view of economic slowdown, he said slowdown has not affected entertainment industry in India.
On an average Cochin Park has a 2,300 visitors and Bangalore park 2,000 visitors daily, he said.
