Tata Steel's Corus gets French rail contract

Mumbai: Tata Steel said on Tuesday its European unit Corus had got a 350 million euro ($510 million) contract to supply rail tracks to French operator SNCF.

Tata Steel, the world's eighth-largest steel maker by output, said Corus would invest €35 million at its rail production facility in Hayange in France.

The contract is for an initial four years with an option to extend it by a further two years, the Indian company said in a statement.
