Tata Realty announces Rs3,500 crore commercial and residential project

Tata Realty and Infrastructure, a subsidiary of Tata Sons, today announced their Rs3,500-crore commercial and residential project, 'Ramanujan IT City' at Taramani in the city.

The project envisages developing a premium residential community 'Cambridge Greens', is expected to be ready for occupancy by mid-2011, a company press release here said.

The project, set up on 26 acres along Old Mahabalipuram Road, is promoted by TRIL Infopark, a joint venture between Tata Realty and Infrastructure Limited, Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation and Indian Hotels Company Limited. It would comprise IT companies along with residential apartments and a retail mall, it said.

"Ramanujan IT City aims to be the most sought-after property in the vicinity, with connectivity, concentration on social infrastructure and contemporary architectural design to establish an identity for the project. The 'Cambridge Greens’ will have walk-to-work convenience and retail mall comprising of leading brands," Tata Realty and Infrastructure Ltd managing director and CEO Sanjay Ubale said.

'Cambridge Greens', comprising 150 apartments, is spread over three lakh square feet. Apartments range between 2,000 to 3,000 sq feet, and has security camera systems, children's play area, a health club and swimming pool, among other facilities.
