Steel Authority of India is in talks with Tata Steel and Arcelor Mittal for a joint venture to manufacture steel, chairman SK Roongta said on Monday.
"Both Tata Steel and Arcelor Mittal have expressed interest for setting up a joint venture to manufacture steel with SAIL. We are in discussions but it is at a very initial stage," Roongta said.
Nothing has been decided on the capacity and the site of the venture, he added.
