With Rajasthan fast emerging as an industrial and educational hub, global market research companies are now eyeing the desert state for setting up their research and development activities.

Brett research Ltd, a London-based research firm, is to start providing six months training in Rajasthan for management graduate students to enable them entry in the emerging field of market research, which is getting momentum worldwide post recession.

According to Punit Sharma, Team Leader South-East Asia, Brett research, market research is a new trend in India, and investors worldwide are focusing on conducting research post-recession to minimise risks, identify opportunities and offer best products or services that are focussed and well targeted.

Small scale industries in Europe and UK now prefer market research before finally launching product or services.

"The trend of market research is emerging in India which is a good career opportunity that offers high salary packages to management graduates," Sharma said.

Brett research conducts market research training in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and China. "Our next destination is Jaipur in India," Sharma said announcing his company plans to invest in the country by next year.

Over 10 thousand management students pass out from a number of government and deemed universities in Rajasthan every year.

"I have approached several management colleges of the state and the initial response is good. The six months paid training, which we plan to start from November this year will be equally divided in two modes- online and practical. Later, we would recruit candidates for Jaipur office, which would be operational from next fiscal year," he said.

Rajasthan is fast growing into the country's new commerce and industrial hub, with the central government having approved of setting up a manufacturing and investment zone.

"This will be our first training in India due to availability of required human resource and bright future perspective of state’s industrial growth and possibility of foreign investment in the state."
