No need to borrow more for extra spend: Pranab Mukherjee

New Delhi: The government does not need to borrow more than planned to fund its additional proposed expenditure, finance minister Pranab Mukherjee told reporters.

The government had said on Tuesday it would seek parliamentary approval to spend an extra Rs257.25 billion ($5.5 billion) for the fiscal year to end-March 2010.
