Volkswagen, Europe's largest car maker, today launched the New Beetle and its sports utility vehicle The Touareg in the Kerala market.
Already 10 bookings have been made for Beetle and three cars would be delivered today, Sabu Johney, managing director EVM group, the dealers in Kerala told reporters here. They were expecting to sell about 20 cars of this model this year, he said.
The waiting period for the beetle is two months especially if the choice of colours are red, whilte and yellow, Biju Gopalakrishnan, General Manager,said.
Touareg sales this year are expected to be around 25, he said.
The new Beetle is priced at rs 20.45 lakh (ex-showroom) while Touareg is priced at rs 51.85 lakh (ex-showroom).
The EVM group has sold 450 numbers of the two models Passat and Jetta cars last year.
