Mundra Port to build terminal for Shell JV in Hazira

Hazira Port, a joint venture between Shell Gas BV and France’s Total Gaz Electricite Holdings, on Friday awarded a letter of intent to Mundra Port and SEZ for developing a multi-cargo terminal at Hazira Port in Gujarat.

The terminal will be built on a sub-concession basis, in phases, with three berths in the initial phase, Hazira Port said in a statement. It did not detail the investment in the project.

Mundra Port will form a 100% subsidiary for developing the container terminal.
“Hazira Ports will now approach Gujarat Maritime Board and Gujarat government for seeking approval,” the statement said
