The Maldives and a Bangalore property of Taj Hotels Resorts & Palaces has once again topped 'Leading Hotels of the World' by bagging various awards for excellence and service.
The awards were given away byLeading Hotels of the World Ltd at an annual convention in Venice last month.
Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Maldives, won the 8th annual 'Commitment to Quality' award in the Asia-Pacific region, along with the 'Grand Prize Winner' award for displaying outstanding levels of quality, a press release issued here today stated.
The Maldives property scored an overall average of 95.6%, the highest rating within the Leading Quality Assurance audit.
Situated amidst one of Maldives' largest lagoons, Taj Exotica Resort & Spa is an intimate and romantic island resort lush with tropical plants and encircled with clear blue waters.
The Taj West End, Bangalore, bagged the 4th Annual 'Commitment to Excellence' award, that acknowledges hotels that make exceptional effort towards community development and environment, the statement added.
Going beyond its purview of hospitality, the hotel has engaged in community development, keeping in line with the existing Taj corporate policy, that helps create sustainable livelihoods and building a community through social outreach programmes in health, education, empowerment of women and youth.
The Taj West End, Bangalore, has also received top honours in the prestigious "Conde Nast Readers Travel Awards 2009" by being listed amongst the top 10 overseas business hotels in the world.
