Jaipur: IT major IBM today announced a strategic geographic expansion drive in Rajasthan to further its reach in Jaipur and neighbouring markets.
As part of this, the company has appointed Sequel Infocom and Icon Integrated Services as its business partners in the state who would help IBM in greater penetration of the market.
These two business partners will also become the first channel partners in the country to sell IBM's infrastructure services to clients.
"These business partners will focus on offering infrastructure services to clients helping them in areas of Green IT, security, business continuity, improved collaboration and communication, among others," IBM Growth market vice-president Harish Krishnamurthy said.
The company has rolled out a set of new offerings aimed at big as well as small enterprises including Smart Business, Scalable Modular Server rooms, Proventia Unified Threat Mitigation Services and Data Mobility Services among others.
IBM has set up three Centres of Excellence (CoEs) across the state to provide training platform for development of software skills among students. These colleges include University College of Engineering, RTU, Kota; Poornima Group of Colleges, Jaipur and RMK Engineering College, Jaipur.
"These centres will provide a unique opportunity to students to learn new skill sets on the IBM software products as well as develop world class solutions,' Vivek Malhotra, vice president, IBM, North & East, General Business, said.
