Harley-Davidson announces leadership team for India operations

Harley-Davidson Motor Company India, today announced the appointment of its national leadership team that will be responsible for driving the companys sales, marketing and growth strategies in the country.

Sanjay Tripathi will be director of marketing, Rajiv Vohra, Director-Sales & Dealer Development, Yogesh Phogat, director-operations and Manish Agarwal, director, finance.

All four will report to the company's managing director, Anoop Prakash, a press release issued here said.

Harley-Davidson Motor Company India is the wholly-owned subsidiary of the Harley-Davidson Motor Company.

"Since we announced our plans for the Indian market in August, our aim has been to establish a strong team with the relevant market experience, expertise and passion to build Harley-Davidson as a strong and enduring motorcycle brand in India," Harley-Davidson Motor Company India Private Limited's managing director, Anoop Prakash, said.

Rounding out the new members of Harley-Davidson India national team will be Navneet Banka as manager, sales & dealer development, who comes to the company after three years at Mercedes-Benz, and Elizabeth Alderson, who joins as executive
communications and administrative manager.

"As we move towards establishing a strong dealer network and planning our much-awaited India product line-up, it is imperative that we build a strong team," Anoop Prakash, said.

"As a 107-year old brand, we realise the value and importance of experience, which is strongly reflected through our newly-appointed leadership team. I am positive that this team of passionate and driven individuals will ensure that Indian riders and enthusiasts are given a truly authentic Harley-Davidson experience."
