Foreign exchange, bond markets in Mumbai closed for holiday

Foreign exchange and bond markets are closed on Tuesday for a local holiday. Trading resumes on Wednesday.

On Monday, the yield on the 10-year benchmark bond ended at the day's low of 7.99% after matching a 17-month-high of 8.02% touched last week. It had closed at 8.01% on Friday.

The partially convertible rupee ended at Rs45.5859 per dollar after hitting Rs45.6750, which was its lowest since March 5, and about 0.3% weaker than the previous close of Rs45.4344.
