Emirates Telecommunications (Etisalat) has applied to bid for 3G radio spectrum in India, an official at the Abu Dhabi-based company said on Thursday, confirming a Reuters report.
Earlier a source had told Reuters the company submitted its application on Thursday to participate in the auction that starts April 9.
