Dainik Bhaskar Group has launched its journalism and media studies training institution in Bhopal. Christened Dainik Bhaskar School of Media Education, the training process and curriculum for the media school has been developed by Dainik Bhaskar in association with US-based Dale Carnegie training consultants, which has been in field of training for the last 100 years.

Ramesh Chandra Agarwal, chairman, Dainik Bhaskar Group, said the objective behind setting up the institution was to ensure that the training and education imparted was in sync with the changing dynamics of the media industry. “Innovation and leadership are the two key words in media industry globally and our aim is to ensure media professionals excel in both areas,” he said.

The media school was on Tuesday inaugurated by management guru Shiv Khera. Speaking on the occasion, Khera said, “Change is natural, accepting change does not lead to angst. Degrees only give information. Besides, it’s not essential that a well-informed person is educated. Bhaskar School of Media Education will train and educate to facilitate people understand the difference between taking a right or wrong decision.”

In the first phase, the media school will train 15,000 journalists and professionals working with Dainik Bhaskar Group. “The participants will be chosen from various leading media institutes across the country,” said Jyoti Agarwal, head, Dainik Bhaskar School of Media Education.
