Mumbai: With an eye on the growing number of Indian outbound tourists, Cyprus in association with holiday packages provider, Cox&Kings, today launched its destinations in the Indian market.

"Cyprus is the closest European destination for Indian travellers, Moreover, with 19 Indian restaurants, the island is even more comfortable for Indian travellers," Cyprus Tourism Organisation's Director (the Middle-East and Gulf), Vassilis Theo Charides, told reporters here.

Later, Charides also kicked off the 'Love Cyprus' campaign, which seeks to promote the island through a series of initiatives.

"We are launching a series of marketing initiatives with Cyprus, using our vast network of offices, agents and our franchisee stores across India," Cox&Kings India Limited (CKIL), head (relationships and supplier management), Karan Anand, said.

This would provide a platform in promoting Cyprus in the Indian market, Anand said, adding CKIL would also launch a free holiday offer to 100 travellers through a TV and print campaign.
