Bank of India starts mobile banking service in rural area

Bank of India has started Mobile Banking service in rural areas here.

Deputy governor of the Reserve Bank Usha Thorat inaguarated the service at village Waghave in Panhala taluka near here yesterday. BOI chairman Alok Mishra was present on the occasion.

The service will be useful in villages which do not have any bank. Villagers would be given a special type of SIM card.

The customers can conduct their banking transactions through the mobile phone and would also get to know the balance in their account.
