An electric global auto expo (GAE) would be held here from December 11 to 13.
The expo is aimed at creating a platform for all types of automotive vehicles, especially those run on electric / battery, hydrid and sports vehicles, and component manufacturers in India and abroad to display their products, organisers told reporters here today.
GAE 2009 has attracted a number of global suppliers and buyers from various sectors of the automotive industry, including vehicles, test equipment, system / component and service / garage equipment, they said.
Featuring a three-day exhibition, the event would offer an opportunity to entrepreneurs to share their ideas on key topics such as automotive engine, transmission, emission, alternate fuels, safety and hybrid vehicles.
GAE 2009 is cosponsored by Automotive Research Association of India, Central Institute of Road Transport and National Automotive Testing and R&D Infrastructure Project (Natrip), among others.
"As a primary participant in the event, we have a lot of plans in the electrical two-wheeler category in the new year", executive director of Bangalore-based Eko Vehicles Pvt Ltd, DR Harindranath said.
GAE 2009 would showcase capabilities, technologies and advances in automotive electronics and related products, officials said.
