Homegrown auto-major Tata Motors has joined hands for a strategic partnership with Microsoft India, on Thursday, to make driving a more personalised experience for customers, the companies said in a joint statement according to Business Standard

The companies announced that the first showcasing of the enhanced-driven vehicle will be unveiled at the 87th Geneva International Motor Show on March 7. The automobile maker Tata Motors will use the interface application and services suite utilizing Mircrosoft enabled functionality like advanced navigation, predictive maintenance, telematics and remote monitoring features. 

According to NDTV, Tata Motors CEO Guenter Butschek said, "We are using Microsoft's connected vehicle technologies on Azure intelligent cloud to bring the digital lives of our customers into the cars they drive. Making the most of fast-paced innovation cycle that Microsoft has to offer, we will create a fully connected and seamless driving experience for our customers."

Speaking to the media at the conference, he further said that he saw the tie-up creating new revenue opportunities for the company as car buyers look for value-added services. 

"Using IoT (internet of things), AI (artificial intelligence) and machine learning technologies, we will provide vehicle owners in India and across the world a safe, productive and fun driving experience," Anant Maheshwari, President at Microsoft India, said.
