Yamaha eyes one million sales mark with newly-launched FZ225

Yamaha Motors aims to achieve a sales target of one million, following up from last year?s sale of 7.86lac two-wheelers. This target is to be met with the launch of the much-awaited FZ225, a 250cc sports bike in Delhi today.

Yamaha Motors aims to achieve a sales target of one million, following up from last year?s sale of 7.86lac two-wheelers. This target is to be met with the launch of the much-awaited FZ225, a 250cc sports bike in Delhi today.

This is said to be a powerful new addition to the FZ- series. The FZ225 is a street fighter enabled with blue core engine development technology, designed specifically to enhance fuel efficiency. It is considered to be the next-generation macho machine, practical and easy to handle.

The new bike, weighing 148kg, is designed to support an air-cooled 4-stroke single cylinder. It comes with LED headlights and taillights to improve night vision and also consists of an LCD instrument cluster which is well-lit in order to make reading easier for the biker.

The showroom price of the FZ225 is marked at Rs. 1, 19,500; primary target group being those of ages 20 to early 30s belonging to high-income families. Post the launch, Yamaha Motors is expecting a sales target of 4000 to 5000 bikes per month.
