Vedanta appoints GR Arun Kumar as whole-time director

Vedanta Ltd has appointed GR Arun Kumar, the chief financial officer, as its whole-time director on the board, the company informed the BSE on Tuesday. 

Kumar's appointment is for three years, effective from November 22, subject to the approval of the members of the company at the next general meeting, the company said in the notification to the BSE. 

Vedanta also appointed Bhumika Sood, Compliance Officer, as the Company Secretary and Key Managerial Personnel, effective November 22. 

At 1443 hours, Vedanta's shares were trading a t Rs 205, up Rs 7.95 or 4.03% from previous close.
