Berland will now be tasked with building Twitter's brand and was recently executive VP of advertising, marketing and digital partnerships at the social media giant. She will be taking over the reins from CFO Anthony Noto, who has been handling marketing in an interim fashion for the past eight months, according to Re/Code.
Twitter, on Monday, saw four of its top executives leaving the firm that includes Media head Katie Jacob Stanton, Product head Kevin Weil, Engineering division head Alex Roetter and Human Resources head Brian Schipper.
Reportedly, the company was expected to announce the appointment of CMO along with two new board members. Dorsey has managed to fill in the post of CMO, his task is now to fill in the rest vacant posts.
Ever since the appointment of Jack Dorsey as the CEO of Twitter, the company has undergone a series of new appointments and this is believed to be an attempt by Dorsey to boost user growth.
