TVS Motor sales in December rise by 4% to 2,02,086 units

The two-wheeler major, TVS Motor Company, on Saturday posted 4% growth in December sales at 2,02,086 units as compared to 1,94,481 units in December 2014.

The company's total exports stood at 32,771 units in the month of December 2015 as against 32,969 units during same period a year ago. Two-wheeler exports grew by 5.5% with sales increasing from 24,556 units in December 2014 to 25,906 units December 2015.

Total two wheeler sales increased by 5.2% at 194,066 units as against 1,84,474 units during same period a year ago. Moreover, the domestic two wheeler sales grew by 5.2% at 168,160 units as against 159,918 units in December 2014. Scooters' sales of the company grew by 21.4% to 65,090 units as compared to 53,613 units in December 2014. Motorcycles sales increased to 71,435 units from 70,573 units in the previous year.

However, under the three-wheeler segment, the company registered sales of 8,020 units as against 10,007 units in December 2014.
