Triumph Thruxton R launched at starting price of Rs 10.9 lakh

British niche motorcycle maker Triumph launched its new model Triumph Thruxton R, priced at Rs 10.9 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

The Thruxton R, powered by a 1,200cc engine, is one of the three motorcycles in the company's new Bonneville family of bikes available in India, Triumph Motorcycles India said in a statement.

Triumph Motorcycles India Managing Director Vimal Sumbly said combination of power, performance, and incorporation of contemporary technology will make the Thruxton R an attractive option for cafe racers riders in India.

Triumph Motorcycles India sells 15 global models in the country and has already sold close to 3,000 units in over two years of operations in India.

It has 12 dealerships in New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Indore, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kochi.
