The Transport department of the Maharashtra government has sought online feedback and suggestions from citizens to decide on revision of rates and fares of auto rickshaws and taxis plying here.

The department has uploaded the Survey-Feedback form at https://transport.maharashtra.gov.in/1229/Survey-Feedback-Form in three languages Hindi, English and Marathi on its portal and requested citizens to give their valuable feedback till May 15.

The citizens' feedback will be studied by a four-member committee headed by B C Khatua, which has been formed by the state government to devise the new fare hike formula and suggest improvements in services of autos and taxis.

"We want to come out with a full and final preparation regarding devising the formula to fix the rate and fair for autos and taxis by the end of June this year.

Therefore, we appeal the citizens to give their valuable feedback and suggestions in this regard which will be very useful to us," Khatua told reporters here yesterday.

Transport Commissioner Praveen Gedam along with member of the committee, Dilip Jadhav and other transport officials were present on the occasion.

Khatua said, "Though we have held few rounds of meetings with several organisations of auto and taxis, but to make our devise more effective, we also want to have the feedback and suggestions of citizens."
