The new car has received many cosmetic changes but no mechnical ones.
Toyota had launched the new Innova Crysta in India an year ago, replacing the popular MPV, the Innova. Now, the organization is planning to add a new variant to the Multi Purpose Vehicle with the new Innova Crysta Touring Sport. The new car is most likely to be launched in India on May 4, suggests reports. The car has been launched as Innova Crysta Venturer in Indonesia and will only be available in the top end ZX trim. Reports add that the car will only be undergoing cosmetic changes.
In terms of design, the Innova Crysta Touring Sport Edition will boast black paint with dark chrome grille,a modern fog lamp with dark chrome ornament and side rocker moulding with chrome plating. Other decorative additions will include a black front bumper spoiler with chrome plating and front grille boomerang ornament. At the back too the embellishments continue, with the Sport Edition gettting sturdy black backdoor garnish, black rear bumper spoiler with chrome plating, arch wheel moulding and new 17" black alloy wheels. The Crysta Touring Sport edition will also have an 8inch advanced entertainment system with voice command, automatic climate control, new premium leather seat and smart entry key.
The engine of the Toyota Innova Crysta comes with an all-new 2.8 L diesel engine and an all new frame. For the first time, it will also have an all-new six-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift. It also offers an alternative in the form of a new 2.4 L diesel engine with five-speed manual transmission. As per ARAI certification, the Innova Crysta gives best in class performance with 174 PS and 360 Nm torque all while offering fuel economy of 14.29 Km/l for the 2.8L six-speed automatic transmission variant and 15.10 Km/l for the 2.4L five-speed manual transmission variant.
The Innova Crysta Touring Sport Edition will have ABS, EBD, Vehicle Stability control, Hill assist control and ISOFIX for child safety.
The prices of the new Sport Touring Crysta, based on ex-showroom, New Delhi is expected to be between Rs 25,000- Rs 30,000 more than the current generation top end variant of Innova Crysta. The ZX trim of Innova Crysta is priced at Rs 20.93 lakh according to the same.
