Terrano, Datsun Redi-Go drive sales for Nissan India up 39% in April

Nissan India posted a 39% growth in its sales figures in April. The company sold 4,217 vehicles in the month compared to 3,028 vehicles in the same period last year.

Nissan India posted a 39% growth in its sales figures in April. The company sold 4,217 vehicles in the month compared to 3,028 vehicles in the same period last year. 

Nissan India said sales were led by the demand for the Terrano SUV and Datsun redi-Go. 

Commenting on the growth in sales, Nissan India managing director Arun Malhotra said, "We usher in the new fiscal year with robust growth in terms of sales and positive sentiment. Across India, we are strengthening our fotoprint, introducing products and services that customers want and value."

The company will be launching up to eight models from Nissan and Datsun brands by 2021. "These new models include the launch of the X-Trail hybrid in 2017 and will move the company closer to its goal of becoming a major force in India with a 5% market share by 2020."
