New Tata 'Megapixel' small car to offer 100 km per litre fuel economy

The car is priced to be something between Rs 5-6 lakh and according to media reports, this car might be launched in January next year.

Tata Motors is going to launch a new small car 'Megapixel' which is up to make another revolution in the automobile industry. 

According to Zee Media reports, this small car is going to create a fervour in the automobile industry by giving fuel economy of 100 kilometres per litre. This concept was launched in March 2012 at the 82nd Geneva Motor Show.

The car is priced to be something between Rs 5-6 lakh and according to media reports, this car might be launched in January next year.

Megapixel is a four seater car with range extended electric vehicle (REEV) concept and has four independent electric motors located at each wheel.

Zee media reports say this car has a lithium ion phosphate battery which can let one recharge the car on the move. This car also has an on-board petrol engine generator.

This small car has a single fuel tank which can cover a range of up to 900 km on the car. Under battery on power this car gives the fuel economy of 100 kilometres per litre. 

One just has to park this car over the induction pad and charge it. With stylish double-sliding door system this car enables you to control temperature, ventilation, driving modes and performance.
