Tata group's consumer durables and electronics chain Croma opens 101st store

Consumer durables and electronics chain Croma today opened its 101st store and said it plans to add 10-14 outlets every year as part of business acquisition and deveopment. 

Infiniti Retail Limited, a 100% subsidiary of Tata Sons, today has embarked on an important milestone with the launch of its 101st Croma store in Century Bhavan, Prabhadevi. 

Tata Group firm Infiniti Retail operates Croma, whose latest store, spread across 13,400 sq ft, is located in Prabhadevi area and has come up with an investment of Rs 3.5 crore. It was inaugurated by Tata Sons Chairman Cyrus Mistry.

The company operates zip-and-large format stores and plans to expand its presence in 25 cities from the current 16, as it aims for a market share of 20 per cent in each city it is present in.

The store was inaugurated by Mr. Ajit Joshi, MD & CEO, Infiniti Retail Limited in the presence of Mr. Cyrus P. Mistry, Chairman, Tata Sons and other top management from the Tata group and associated brands of Croma.  

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Ajit Joshi, Managing Director & CEO, Infiniti Retail Ltd, said, “We are thrilled to open the latest 101st Croma store at Century Bhavan Prabhadevi, an iconic landmark in Mumbai. Our customers have shown extremely positive response and we are sure that this launch of Croma in Prabhadevi, will herald a whole new retail experience for our loyal consumers here.
