Suzlon Group stays EBIDTA positive for third consecutive quarter

Suzlon Group, the world's fifth largest wind turbine manufacturer, posted its third consecutive quarter of positive EBIDTA at Rs 114 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, as against Rs 31 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY2014.

Announcing the results, group chairman, Tulsi Tanti, said the company achieved a significant milestone of 25,000 MW installations globally and remains focused on high growth and profitable markets. The H1FY15 revenues were up 16%Yo Y at Rs 9,974 core and gross margins improved from 27.3% to 32.5%. It's order book at 4.6GW was valued at Rs 38,000 crore.

Kirti Vagadia, group finance head, said gross margins improved by 500 basis points in H1 FY15, primarily due to better product and market mix.
