The Bombay Stock Exchange Sensex on Tuesday opened with an all-time high, with markets reaching 29,456.63 points during early trade.

Market expert Sunil Shah opined that the nuclear treaty signed between India and US has resulted in the markets opening on a positive note.

“The initial reaction of the markets has been very positive. The market is 100 points up. Whatever has come out of this visit is a big positive because we have signed the nuclear treaty,” he stated.

“I personally feel that politically and economically this visit is a big positive as far as our country is concerned. From here, markets this week are likely to remain chopping,” he added.

Tuesday’s opening in the Sensex index surpassed its previous high of 29,408.73 points on January 23.
