Samsung Electronics on Tuesday launched its latest offering to a fast-changing world: a double dose of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S.
The two versions of Wi-Fi+2G tablets are priced at Rs 37,800 and Rs 44,800. An LTE version will be available later this year or early next year.
Bollywood actress Kalki Koechlin, who graced the occasion, said that for her, tablets have been the best means to catch up with the latest in entertainment while keeping entertained in between shots in shoots.
The "thinnest and lightest" such device -- with super Amoled display, which delivers an ingenious tablet experience -- combines the most advanced display technology with a full range of premium content for entertainment as well as "immersive visual" experience.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S is available in 10.5 inch and 8.4 inch versions with a sleek 6.6mm profile and they weigh only 467gms and 298gms respectively.
The tablet is powered with enhanced productivity features for effortless multi-tasking and is elegantly housed in a highly stylish yet practical design.

With innovation at the core of our mission to lead the tablet segment, launch of Galaxy Tab S will further propel us in this growing category and facilitate ground-breaking success," Asim Warsi, VP, mobile & IT, Samsung India, said, adding that by 2015 tablets will touch shipments of 290 million, beating the combined shipments of laptops and desktops.
