Royal Enfield domestic sales up 73% in October

Eicher Motors' Royal Enfield sold 44,138 motorcycles in the domestic market in the month of October against 25,510 in the same month last year, a 73% increase.

Eicher Motors' Royal Enfield sold 44,138 motorcycles in the domestic market in the month of October against 25,510 in the same month last year, a 73% increase. 

The company's exports, however, dropped 27% in the month. Royal Enfield exported 384 Bullets as against 529 in the same month last year.

The company has announced the opening of its first exclusive stores in Madrid and Paris. With the new stores, Royal Enfield is planning to expand its mid-sized motorcycle segment (250-750cc) in Europe. 

Royal Enfield now has 80 dealerships in France and 25 in Spain. 

In the first seven months of 2015, the company grew 60% in France, a statement from Royal Enfield has said. RE is planning to open three more exclusive stores in Paris alone. 

In Spain, however, the company witnessed a staggering 300% growth in sales in the first eight months of the year, compared to the same period last year.
